Tileston (Charles) House is built.
1770
(ca.) Built by Euclid Tileston, it is located at today’s 13 River Street. The oldest house in Lower Mills, it is purchased by Charles Tileston in 1848, whose stove, heating, and plumbing store is located next door at the corner of River and Washington Streets. It remains in the Tileston family until 1897.
